Stolen

Who can make sense of circumstance?
When weeping skies interrupted the dance
Existence has been fragmented by time
Stolen from a child so young, so divine
Time passes so swiftly and cool
And takes with it no matter how cruel
Souls are shaken to the heart
But sickness will flee, the bleak will part
Revealing a child so full of peace
It’s your time little one for the aching to cease

Courage

Who knows the answer to this discriminatory pain?
Knowing things and circumstances can never be the same
Courage, when fear tugs at your soul
Never give into the immobilizing cold
Anguish fills your heart which once had no fear
Why have you been allotted so much to bear?
Courage is your voice, when words perceive no sound
Step into the light, and forever hold your ground
Your soul is in motion forever in time
Life is on your side, etched in your mind
Your happiness is insurmountable for the world to see
When your precious child has made an overwhelming recovery

Tears

Tears like rain, falling from the sky
Each teardrop embodies the question why
The epitome of beauty, so young and so innocent
Why oh source this darkness abruptly sent
Who do you decide on to inflict so much pain
Why do you do this, what do you gain
A child so tender, compelled to endure so much
The rain will cease, the dawn it will heal with a gentle touch
A fearless child, so blissful and free
Will run like the wind for all whom love her to see

Cancer

Cancer, you’re so cruel with your malicious intent,
Cancer, you’re twisted, you’re warped and so bent
Whom do you choose when you come out today
Why point a finger in such a wicked depraved way
What makes you conclude who should die or should live?
The souls of the old, the souls of the young
Why do you sing this song that you’ve sung?
Over and over taking the essence and spirit
Of the innocent, the virtuous, the hopeful who live in it
You’re spiteful, you’re greedy, and always have your way
You’ll be measured, reprimanded and chastised one day
Oh how we’ll rejoice every minute, every breath
You’ll reek, and you’ll scream; now it’s your death

Angry

Angry, enraged, these emotions you feel,
A child lying perilously sick is so real
Her eyes depict a myriad of questions
Such agony, such pain, too numerous to mention
Why does this come to pass to a child so young?
So sick, so sad, and her life not yet begun
Such a young girl whose body is aching
So why higher source are you just taking and taking
Its time to allocate peace and serenity
To an astonishing family who has had torment a plenty
